Coolways was founded in 1994 under the leadership of Mr. Inderjit Singh, a Mechanical Engineer with over 50 years of experience. The company began by manufacturing and selling room air conditioners and soon became the sole distributor and installer of Subros Car ACs (OEMs for Maruti) in North India. Over the years, Coolways expanded its operations and is now one of the largest installers and service providers of bus air conditioning systems in the country. In 2001, the company entered the commercial air conditioning sector in partnership with Carrier Air Conditioning Systems. Coolways became the first non-metro city installer of Toshiba Twin Rotary Inverter/VRF-based air conditioning units in India. The company has consistently achieved the highest dealership slabs and has been awarded multiple times for its excellence in sales and service.
Coolways specializes in HVAC, refrigeration, and air conditioning solutions for homes, offices, and commercial spaces. It has successfully air-conditioned over 1,800 buildings in North India and developed custom AC units for mini buses, ambulances, vans, and tempo travelers. The company has also supplied refrigerated pantry units for the Shatabdi train. In 2013, Coolways launched Coolways Automate Pvt Ltd under Mr. Harmeet Singh, focusing on smart home automation. As certified installers of Control4 and Schneider Electric, the company offers lighting automation, fan and curtain controls, CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire safety systems, digital locks, multi-room audio solutions, home theater installations, acoustic solutions, and conference room setups. Additionally, Coolways has invested in the manufacturing of reefer truck insulated containers, with a dedicated unit in Punjab, rapidly expanding in this sector.
